welcome back, Torchwood

Torchwood: Children of Earth debuted on BBCAmerica tonight and – man, oh man.  First of all, it’d been so long since I’d seen it, mourned all over again for Tosh and Owen.

And then, Children of Earth began.

***spoilers ahead***

I got all happy about the cute doctor, even while missing Owen, but I didn’t like Ms. Abibi from jump.  What’s up with that?  I think she’s pretty, but her character seems to have been really slow on the uptake.  Thankfully, episode 2 looks like she’ll be picking things up a lil quicker…And really, I suppose it’s best that she didn’t forward the info about Torchwood to the Home Office – even though it’s looks like the HO was monitoring their  internet searches.

I’m just really hoping that they don’t end this show.  Because I love it.  As in the proverbial fat kid/cake love.

I wanna know what this 4-5-6 frequency business is about, though.  And who this counter-Torchwood organization is.  Were the missing bodies the doctor was referencing real, or was it just part of his cover?  If the missing bodies are real, are there a few aliens sent ahead as scouts, to prepare for the takeover – with Britain as the hub?

Kudos to Reese for spotlighting the direct connection to Britain, with the times and all.  I hope the fellow that sniffed out Gwen’s pregnancy got away from the 4-5-6 brigade.

Ohhhh, this is gonna be good.

FINALLY! Torchwood news

I hate that I have to wait…BBCAmerica doesn’t give a date for when the new season begins, but it’s coming.  And it looks good.

I heart John Barrowman.

question. and idol results

I’m wondering when Torchwood is coming back.  Anybody know?

As for Idol – having DVR is the bomb.  I can skip through all the crap.

What’s a perfect way to demonstrate that singing ability isn’t necessarily the key to stardom?  Have Kanyeezy come on the show and do Heartless.  Why do I like this song so much?  He really can’t sing.

Anyway – Jasmine’s the first one gone.  And I’m sad, cuz I think Anoop might be going.  I LOVE Anoop.

Kelly Clarkson’s My Life Would Suck Without You started slow, but picked up with the first chorus.  I’m not a superfan of her music, but I really like her personality.  She seems like a really cool girl who would probably be one of my sister’s friends.

Anoop is SAFE!!!!!1! Eleventy!!!  But Jorge is going.  A little sad.  The judges have only one save for the whole season.  They won’t be using it this early.  But I’m sad to see Jorge go.  He is a beautiful person.  I wonder if all 13 will go on tour.  Or if it’ll just be the top 10.

But seriously – does anyone know about Torchwood?
